Steamed Egg & Milk Custard
My kids love its creamy and smooth texture. Using formula milk as a base (you can use fresh milk if that’s your preference), this steamed egg & milk recipe is versatile yet packed with nutrition. It can be serve hot or chilled. With a fresh fruit topping, it’s a healthy dessert. With granola, it’s a nutritious breakfast. You can can really get creative with this recipe!
Beat 2 eggs with a fork. Add in warm milk and mix well.
Using a spoon, remove the excess foam so that the pudding will come out smooth with no air pockets on the surface after steaming.
Pass mixture through a strainer so as to make sure mixture is completely smooth.
Cover with foil to avoid water droplets. Steam for 10-12 minutes.
I prefer to have my custard softer and wobbly, so I steam it for 12min maximum.
As recipe doesn’t include sugar, it is best to serve with a sweet fruit topping!

250ml Fresh milk/ Formula Milk
Sliced fruit of your choice, ideally sweet
